Buffalo Creek Bluffs

Tired of packing up your rig (RV, Tiny Home, etc.) every weekend and rushing to maybe get a site at an overcrowded campground with no privacy? Tired of 'getting back to nature' with hundreds of other folks that seem to be omni-present... no matter where you are in the campground? Tired of 're-packing' all over again on Sunday? Tired of dump stations?!? Did you spend all that time, effort and money on your rig to party with your buddies on the weekends? ...

... OR...

Did you invest in a RV or tiny home to find an escape from it all for you and/or your family? Maybe do a little fishing? Play in the creek with the kids or grandkids? Walk, ride or jog some nice, quite, private trails? Do you still want to be able to get back to Cedar Rapids, Waterloo or Dubuque to see your kids ball game... without ending your vacation? If you want to get the most out of all you invested into your rig, turn it into your 'second home', river camp and/or secluded get-away out here at Buffalo Creek Bluffs.

We are a small, private campground for folks that want to find that special place to park and leave their rig to enjoy it year-round. With just eight, full hook-up (30 & 50 amp), pull-through sites along Buffalo Creek for RVs, tiny homes and other approved campers on over 35, mostly forested acres, Buffalo Creek Bluffs is the secluded get-away you've been looking for.

Our guests will have access to over 35 acres that include the following:

  • Nearly 28 acres of forest enveloping Buffalo Creek;

  • Over 2.5 miles of maintained forested trails for walking, jogging, riding, or just chillin';

  • Nearly 1/2 mile of Buffalo Creek to play in, fish in, float in, or kayak/canoe (there are several put-in and pick-up sites beyond BCB boundaries allowing for longer floats);

  • Several wide, sandy beaches along the Buffalo, perfect for afternoon picnics and evening campfires;

  • An abundance of wildlife... including a huge albino buck that makes an appearance every now and again;

  • An additional seven (7) acres with eight (8) pull through, full hook-up, shaded campsites, each approximately 0.25 acres in size;
